In the 1980s, Franke Previte, who had previously written music for other artists and recorded his own solo work, as well as being a member of the hard rock band Bull Angus, embarked on a new venture by forming the band Franke & the Knockouts to kick off the new decade. The band immediately scored a huge hit single with "Sweetheart" from their debut album "Franke & the Knockouts," and they continued to enjoy a successful run throughout the year, releasing several more hit songs and radio-friendly tracks, including "You're My Girl" and "She's A Runner."
The band's follow-up album, "Below The Belt," featured more classic hit songs such as "Just What I Want," the hard-rocking "Never Had It Better," and the blue-eyed soul power ballad "Without You (Not Another Lonely Night)." Their third and final album, "Makin' The Point," was filled with powerful rock tracks like "You Don't Want Me (Like I Want You)," "Outrageous," and the soul-infused "One Good Reason."
Unfortunately, all three Franke & the Knockouts albums have been out of print for years. However, Friday Music is thrilled to announce the release of "Franke & the Knockouts - The Complete Collection," a comprehensive 3 CD set that includes the band's entire discography. This stunning collection has been impeccably remastered by Joe Reagoso from the authorized Franke Previte-Knockout Music tapes, and it also features 11 bonus rare demo and unreleased recordings from Franke's personal archives, spanning from the early 1970s to the 1990s. Additionally, the set includes a bonus CD with 6 live performances compiled by Franke specifically for this collection.
